 Colton and his friends have been perfecting ‘the worm.’ It cracks me up. 

freeride at MRG

Poor kid, fell again during his run at the MRG IFSA comp yesterday. Recovered. Didn’t lose his skis, but couldn’t hit any of the features after the first cliff since he fell (rules) so he just skied down gracefully on the very edge, where the powder hadn’t been touched. Got loads of cheers for powder. Was very disappointed in his performance… again 😭 Bummed for him. Had fun skiing the rest of the day with his friends… mainly Samantha.

Stowe FreeRide

Unfortunately, it was a pretty terrible run to watch that competition. Not only was trying to the run difficult, but viewing itself.  There was no spot to stand in order to see the entire run. A fellow parent sent me the video above which was better than my own. If you zoom in initially, you can see his drop in off the first cliff. Two features not shown.  Colton was bummed bc he slipped out and backslapped but apparently recovered so quickly, it didn’t DQ him, just a deduction. With a blackslap, got 7th out of 30ish. He was unhappy with his performance, but not unhappy about his score.
