today was a good day

Today, Colton took at class at the Sculpture school - RC Track design. Wound up being 5 boys outside all day, building…. Right up his alley. He was nervous, but when I picked him up, he told me it was ‘the most fun he’d had in a long time.’ He went on and on about it. Afterward, he got to meet his friends at the mountain for a few runs before close. Fried chicken and cremee date at the Canteen. Followed by an hour biking in the mud. Pretty standard for Colton to be outside all day, but he was particularly tired today. Told me around 6:15 that he’d being going to bed early. Sure enough, he was out by 7:15! This kid!

Only bummer was that the Castlerock Comp was canceled bc of no powder. Kids still had fun. 

Got to ski with Sam today. He’s made some great friends this year. 

And then the sun came out!

 

Nah brah

 Colton and some of his teammates met Zeb Powell today. A lot of the kids had him sign their pants or helmet. Colton asked him to sign his boot. Zeb’s response was, ‘nah brah I don’t bend down that far.’ 😂😂😂

Colton’s first mogul comp and he took first for his age group! They got two runs, both looked great! He was fast!

 

the year of the 360

 Colton got his first (and 2nd, 3rd, 4th, on and on and on) 360 off the big jumps at the park today. He was very proud of himself. After the 3rd time, he finally let me video him.
