Dirt for Dessert

At Mary's first birthday party and all four boys there managed to find the only dirt, sit in it, and eat it.

Chocolate icing or dirt stache?!

Biker Gang

An ice cream date and holding hands in the ride home.

At one point, Ryan dropped Colton's hand and he started making the more sign - more hand holding. The.  Cutest.

more cheese please

Yesterday, C not only learned a new sign (cheese! no surprise there since it is his favorite food), but also improved on his 'fish' sign.. He used to just make the noise for fish, now he has started moving his hand/arm appropriately! I am just so proud!

xoxo

Colton is so into kissing right now it just cracks me up.

Yesterday, we got to Ryan's to go to the zoo. He saw her and started blowing kisses at her.

Also, when we came downstairs early in the morning and Brett was asleep on the couch, Colton immediately started blowing kisses at him.

He also will be playing, decide to go somewhere else, blow us kisses, then leave! This is one of my new favorite things he does.

When he's ready to go to bed, same thing. Comes over and gives me lots of kisses like ok, goodnight mom, I'm ready!

Colton just found an empty pouch of food. He picked it up, walked over to the trash can, opened it up, and threw it away. Never once have I taught him to open the trash can or encouraged him to throw things away. It's crazy what kids pick up on! I am impressed.

13 Months Old

Today, Colton is 13 months old! I can hardly believe it. He grows and learns more and more everyday. I am so amazed by this little boy!

Overnight, C started using some of the sign language that I taught him agessss ago (I was consistent for a while, and then around 10 months maybe, stopped doing it as often as I should because I didn't think he was getting it). He has started signing 'more' 'hot' 'fish' and 'all done.' Along the same lines, he smells pictures of flowers in books! I think he just figured out where his 'foot' is as well, but we're not quite consistent there.

He is once again in love with this whale mobile.

He loves putting tops on things - closing things, opening them, putting things where they belong, etc.

He absolutely loves to read!

LOVES ALL TRUCKS! And anything construction. What a boy!

He is now consistently walking, not just taking a few steps. He has been taking a few steps for awhile now (since just about 11 months), but is now actually walking! It is so impressive to see his balance improve every single day!

He is an eating MACHINE! I mean, this kid can eat. His favorites include cheese, tomtaoes, strawberries, and PB&J, but I cannot name many things that Colton will not devour.

He is happiest outside.. especially in his tricycle!

Loves the water - Ben's baby pool, the water table, the fountains, the real baby pool, even the bath - he's in heaven.

I'm so impressed by how observant he is, how much he takes in, and how much he understands.

such a little boy now!

walking machine!

Still a thumb sucker, but only when hungry or tired.

I'm ONE!
