Peter's Bday Party

So so so many more children not pictured.

Daniel the Tiger dance?!

The whole gang went to lunch and a Daniel the Tiger play in Frederick, MD. C got to ride in the car with Mary to and from - loved that. He had no idea who Daniel the Tiger was like the rest of the kids, but loved it all the same. Super fun birthday party! We will miss these friends!

Straight out of Colton's Mouth

Oh boy are we in the WHY phase!!! Along with WHY WHY WHY, we also hear a lot of 'where this come from, ma?' 'which one?' 'who that?' 'who this?' 'what this song called, ma?' 'what that girl called?' 'who else?' 'what else?' --- you get the picture.

I've been keeping a running log of many of the the funny things this 2.5 year old says so I don't forget!

- When someone is leaving, Colton says, be safe, tschuss, bye. Depending on the person, he'll add a, love you! He did it first with Jackie and it just cracked me up!

- He calls people stinkers. For instance, A left his wet towel on the bed after a shower. C found it much later and said, Dad's a stinker - he left his towel in here.

- 'OTAYYYY.' I just Looooveee the otaaay!

- If he sees a picture of himself, he says, 'look how cute I are!'

- If you ask him if he wants to listen to music, the answer is almost always yes, and he usually requests Adele - and can sing almost all the words!

- 'Let's build!' - but you should hear how she pronounces build. So cute.

- 'Riva needs fruit snacks, ma!'

- 'What are you do while I sleep, ma?' C asks this almost every time he goes to sleep now. He's pretty much fine with my answer as long as I don't say I'm going to be sleeping too!

- 'I move to Cape Cod. I build boats in Cape Cod. With Ma, Da, Jeff (our handyman - ha, he has the right idea), Bos, & Riva' - obviously A has influenced this repetitive statement

- 'I need new house!' - He says it almost every time something is broken. It's hilarious. I agree, C, we do need a new house :)

- He just simply cannot wrap his head around the fact that two people can like the same thing. If HE likes something, no one else can like it. At the same time, he likes one thing at a time.

- 'Deal!'

- He does not want anything thrown away - no food. If he doesn't finish his food, he wants you to save it for later. Flips out over things being wasted.

- He's slightly OCD - all doors need to be closed, drawers need to be closed, he is habitual, he needs his animals all tucked in with him at night, etc.

- 'I'm done with these people, ma. I go home!' - Ha. Thanks for telling me, kiddo. We'll leave now.

- He calls me 'Ma,' .. with a slight accent. It's hilarious.

- 'What you doin' Ma?' - He says it's ALL THE TIME. Most of the time he knows the answer, but he still asks.

- He'll be eating something, finish it, and say, 'next up: a tomato!' - or whatever other food he wants. So funny.

That's about all I have written down at this point. I'm sure there's more. He surprises me and tells me crazy things every day, all day. Love this little 2.5 year old stinker :)
