Colton is playing in the Majors this year and of course, having a blast. He loves baseball… but loves all sports, so no surprise. He has been playing 2nd base and pitcher. He is by far the youngest on the team and least experienced. He’s not the fastest pitcher, especially compared to the 12y/os, but he is accurate and really enjoys it.
Last night after the game, ump called him out in front of the team for his excellent work at second base (he must have had 6-10 grounders hit to him and he threw every single one out at first) and closing (pitching), and all around attitude in the game. I happened to be standing at the fence and heard the whole thing. Was very nice to hear. Proud mom moment. Much like the game last year where the Ump found Alex and I after the game to say what a great kid we have/good attitude/love for the game! So fun to watch him play.
