Colton is two. Eesh. Where does the time go? I try to keep track of what's going on, what's changing month to month, but sometimes it's hard to keep up!
At two, Colton is really starting to enjoy playing by himself more. It's great. He'll stay in the back room alone for A WHILE now playing with his toys! He really enjoys taking the mornings slow, not getting out immediately, not getting out of jams first thing, just hanging out with his toys in his house. He's very into playing with his dinosaurs, his trucks, balls, and toys. He loves to 'shoot bask' (shoot baskets) and stack blocks. Since the beginning, he's been a reader and thankfully, he still loves it.
Colton is talking SO MUCH MORE. I can understand most of what he says - but sometimes, I still get stumped. His birthday and day after, he kept saying: I two, more presents, and cupcakes. Ha. The kids knows where it's at. His new saying is, 'watch this!' So cute.
He is still not a fan of crowds. For instance, his birthday party, he asked to go inside and play (alone with Dad) in the beginning.. to get away from the chaos.
He is not a fan of the heat! He is MY KID! He gets overheated so easily and is always sweaty!
He has always been SUCH a sleeper, but he can FINALLY stay up past his bedtime without having a meltdown! I think the weather helps, with it being light until much later.
He has gotten a lot more independent. He prefers to walk to the park instead of ride in the stroller, he likes to look both ways to check for cars (not take my word for it), and is getting more adventurous every day (he can now do the 'big kid' stuff at the park!).
He is just such a fun kid.. and all boy! I feel so lucky that I get to hang out with him everyday!
Pictures to come!
