and what a difference that year makes!
I'm not sure WHY my pictures were put in reverse order in here, but you'll get the picture even so.
On Colton's actual birthday, Wednesday, A surprised us and was able to stay home from work ALL DAY! Oh man, we might be spoiled. We went about our normal morning routine, but after nap headed to the aquarium. C hasn't been in a bit and he LOVED IT. He was so into crawling all over the place, trying to touch the fish, staring at people and animals. It was just great. We spent about an hour. Then C and A got to have some one-on-one time - they hung out and ate lunch in the park while I went to the gym! C was FINALLY acting 100% better from being sick the entire previous week. After afternoon nap, we headed up to Federal Hill Park for C's very first and very own birthday party! All but one of his friends (Maddie, who was sick) came! 9 kids! Even though it was close to bed time for C, he was quite the trooper. He ate some cake, but surprisingly didn't overeat. Didn't cry when everyone stared at him and sang him happy birthday. Hung out with his buddies. You know, the usual. By 615 though, he was done and ready to be in bed. We came home and took a bath because he was covered in icing and fruit and went to bed! Slept his normal 12+ hours. Couldn't ask for more!
oh hey, I'm one!
