Pregnancy Brain

I have LOTS of pregnant friends right now, which is nice! Almost all are first timers like me so we chat about anything and everything and it's really nice being able to see if things you are experiencing are normal, etc. Everyone is always talking about pregnancy brain. Pregnancy brain this, pregnancy brain that. I hadn't, until yesterday, felt like I'd really had that side effect. But yesterday, I logged onto Amazon to order some new books and I had forgotten about 3 books (1 order) that I ordered about a month ago. I suddently remembered and wondered where they were, so I looked back at past orders. The books said 'Shipped.' But they didn't say 'Delivered' like all my other past orders. Turns out, I had a bout of pregnancy brain and ordered them to my address in college... where I haven't lived since early 2008. Ummmm... yea. I mean, I've done some stupid things, but that I think MUST have been pregnancy brain, wouldn't you say?!

In other baby news, today I had my gestational diabetes test. We'll see how that comes out in a few weeks. And at my 26wk appointment (March 18), baby Rapalje's heart rate was 164 - boy? girl?

Well, I wasn't going to do it, but the peer pressure got to me. Here the is the belly at the beach at 26 weeks. I'm pretty sure I cannot get any larger and I'm going to remain this size for the rest of my pregnancy (I wish!).

no no no, I wouldn't dare.  But I did work at Mill Mountain again over the weekend...wearing shoes. Last time I worked there I was also pregnant, but the baby-belly tucked in nicely behind my apron. This time, not so much. 

This hot chocolate and whipped cream tower was NOT for me. Really!

Customers REALLY don't know what to say when you wait on them pregnant AND with a cone head. This provided us with hours of entertainment :)

My favorite?! Doug. The poor, unsuspecting regular who I see both at the gym and Mill Mountain... 3+  times/day every time I'm in Bburg. He came up to me and said, wow you're pregnant! Congratulations!! I scowled and said, WTF no I'm NOT! And then busted out laughing. I tried my hardest to keep it going, but just couldn't do it. Poor guy turned red with embarrassment, then purple with laughter. Made my day... and his. He came in the next day still laughing saying how I got him good :)
