Our Friday routine is usually pretty great. We do the normal thing in the morning until gymnastics. Then we head to Happy Fish Bakery for a special treat - usually almond croissants. This morning though, Colton had a tough time at gymnastics. He cried for the first 20ish minutes, basically begging me to go home. His friend James usually acts like this at class and Colton is the one to convince him to go in. Maybe it was because James wasn't there, I'm not sure. Either way, he made it through. He finally bucked up and went back in and wound up having a blast (surprise). After, we went to Happy Fish, of course, but instead of eating there, took them to go and went up to Long Meadow Pasture. It was a beautiful day and no one else was there! After playing for a awhile on this new amazing playground, Colton said, I'm going to do better at gymnastics tomorrow - I won't be scared anymore. Let's hope that is the case! Either way, I really love Fridays.

Cancun, Mexico
We took a wonderful last minute trip to Cancun over A's last vacation. We weren't planning to go anywhere, but then we saw the forecast... Luckily there was a conference so we planned around that and enjoyed a sunny (hot) 5 days in Mexico. All was perfect until the flight home. Long story short, we wound up in the airport/on an airplane for 31 straight hours - thank you so much American Airlines. Colton was probably the least perturbed of us all.
Buying a donut with his own money before the flight - tradition.
Relaxin' - kid loves going on trips
Colton used to sleep every airplane ride.. then all of a sudden, he stopped. Too much going on it seemed. But since having going to Portugal, he's back to napping on the plane, if it's over nap time! Yay!
He's actually passed out like that.
We had the most kid friendly hotel ever. Sand toys and fun hats on arrival!
Breakfast date with Dad was 'learning'
Colton was in the water every single day, almost all day.
Met some buddies - Eric and Benny, who he hung out with everyday. Win for Ma and Dad
Popsicles every day at 11:30a
The start of a veryyyyy long journey
Kept a happy face the whole time, even when trying to sleep on the airplane floor at 10:30pm
Spring
It's our first Spring on Cape and we love it.
Centerville Easter Egg Hunt -- a hit, minus the Easter bunny. It was so nice being able to walk there too!
Planting seeds for our garden.
Checking on our 5 baby chicks - General Minerva Louise, Lt. Edwina, Penny, Daisy, Major Martha, Sgt. Tillie
Constructing a bean sprout teepee
Watching the herring run upstream to spawn in the ponds.
Loves hyacinths
Beach days
The start of Explorer's Club - first meeting on Mayflower Beach
Wrote his name upside down in the sand.
Four Seas Ice Cream is OPEN! Walking to get ice cream after nap.. this might turn into a regular thing.
