New Englands Day 1

 Rough day of postponements and racing but he finished. 

summer nights

popsicles. swims. four seas ice cream. wiffle ball. baseball games. dibble. 

Cannot believe it’s almost July. Week one of swim/sail/run in the books. Games 1 and 2 of districts complete. Onto New Englands and Game 3 of Districts. Big week for this boy.

Made a Denver sheet cake for end of the season Riptide party.  

Did laundry so his favorite outfit was clean for birthday. 

Trampoline park with his buddy Kabraul. 

Nutella crepe cake and sushi bowls for birthday. 

First playoff game on birthday. 

Water park on Friday with his buds.

 Colton got promoted to team Captain and given the Stanley award for his attitude, leadership, love of baseball, and listening skills. Proud mama. The Stanley award is in honor of his previous (and very favorite) baseballs coaches brother who passed a few years ago.

Colton has been pitching and playing short stop this week. He doesn’t see a lot of infield time, but their SS broke his finger and is out for the season. Colton has actually stepped up and played the position really well! One inning he managed to get all three outs himself including a double play at 3rd! Being a little bit older and having extra practice through Riptide has really made a big difference!

Riptide

Last regular season double header… they crushed in both games. Colton’s perfecting his bunting skills. Managed to get on base bunting multiple times now. TBD on whether they make the playoffs, they’re 6-6 in their division so looks unlikely. If not, Riptide season is over… one more week of regular season little league (thank goodness), playoffs, then All Stars (the reason he stuck with LL).
